Changing the view mode

ComparePSD provides several view modes to help you work with the files

Real-life PSD files may be very complicated with lots of layers grouped into lots of nested folders, and it may be very difficult to examine the differences between the files.

To facilitate the navigation through the file ComparePSD allows you to switch between several view modes: collapse all folders and spot the difference between the top-level folders or display only differences ignoring matching elements.

You can select the view mode by pressing one of the following buttons:

1.Show both differences and matches.

This view mode is the default one. In this mode ComparePSD displays the full content of the files, including the folders, layers and effects that match between the files, and the ones that differ between the files. This mode is useful when you need to see the differences together with their context.

2.Show differences only.

This command filters the files and displays only the sections that differ between the two files. This view mode is useful when you need to quickly find a difference between two files.

3. Show matches only.

This command filters the files and only displays the elements that match between two files.

4.Collapse all folders and effects.

This command collapses all folders and effects. Use this command to get a high-level view of the files.

5.Expand all folders and effects.

This command expands all folders and layer groups if they are in the collapsed state and is the best way to get more detailed understanding of the differences in the files.
